Awakening Your Existence

I heard a story some years ago that I found recently is a GREAT analogy for some of the issues that have been coming up in my life. The story goes like this:

Hunters in India have come up with an ingenious way to catch monkeys. They simple set out a container with a small enough opening for a monkey to stick its hand inside. At the base of the container they place a banana to entice the monkey. When the monkey does so and grasps the banana, he is trapped because the opening is too small for the monkey’s hand AND the banana to be removed. As long as the monkey chooses to hang on to the banana…he’s a simple target for those who want to capture him.

We all have a past. We all have issues that we’ve dealt with. But there’s occasionally those things we seemingly just can’t let go of. Much like the monkey, we hold onto the “banana.” Sure we can blame others for putting out the jar, and even curse Creator for making the banana, but ultimately its OUR choice to hold on to that thing that can lead to a bunch of emotional turmoil. This past week I started taking a look at where I’m stuck. And, I’m happy to say I’ve been making some choices to “let go of the banana.” But man the enticement to reach back in can be tricky!

I encourage you this week to take a look at your life and see where you are holding on to those things that can be let go. Search for those things that don’t serve you anymore and ask yourself, “Am I ready to drop the banana?”

Here I sit at my computer, updating my website when my mind starts to wander. Its not uncommon, but tonight was a little different. I felt myself wondering why I’m doing all this? Why am I now introducing myself as Matthew to people? Why am I teaching classes and doing readings? Why? Why? Why? I caught myself…

Have I given up? Not at all! I’m thrilled and excited to see what’s going to happen next. I write this for myself and to encourage those of you out there that are having the same “thoughts” to keep going. Keep moving toward the wonderful things that Spirit has in store for you. We workers of Love and Light sometimes forget that we are human after all, and sometimes our minds run away with us. And that’s okay…there is nothing wrong. It just gives us a new perspective and realization that we are on the right track. Don’t make yourself wrong! (I’ll repeat that to myself later.) Everything is perfect and in Divine order. Have your moment…then come back and re-center. My Guide Aleah admonishes me to Recenter, Refocus and Reflect. Get back to the point where you can be still (recenter), put your head on straight and realize your purpose (refocus) and beam the Divine inspiration you are out to the World (reflect.)

I am so happy to have you all on this journey with me. And I am SO grateful that I have some amazing people that speak into my life and keep me going. I encourage you as well.

It’s amazing the things that we “hold out” of our worlds due to things we have buried in our past. Those things that are holding something in place. I’ve spent month clearing out issues surrounding my health, diet and overall physical well-being…but the next evolution of information on this topic has come to me. (Well, its been there…it just took me OPENING up to it for it to manifest.) At this past weekends Channel’s Symposium I met a new guide, for now we will call him The Good Doctor. As I awoke this morning…I felt like I was in a lab study. He greeted me with a white coat and asked me “And how are you going to begin your day?” I said, “breakfast.” He said, good choice. The “hard” part came when I reached for the giant blueberry muffin. I could hear myself saying, “Yeah, not a good choice.” And I grabbed a banana and some oatmeal instead. This is my first day with The Good Dr. so we’ll see what transpires. His energy is completely different than Aleah or any of my other guide…so I’m prepared for the ride.

Well Aleah taught a doozy last night.  The class name was “The 3R’s.” As the information from the class filtered back to me, I was AMAZED.  Three simple words that hold so much power to creating those things you want in your life…and getting rid of the things that don’t work any more.

Aleah made the distinction of Reflection being merely a PROJECTION of one’s personal beliefs, judgement and attitudes. She asked the class, “How do you know its you when you look in in the mirror?”  YOU KNOW THE ENERGY COMING BACK…its familiar, you KNOW its YOU. Aleah taught that in order to have that which you desire, your reflection needs to match what you want the world to see.  She used a statue of Horus to demonstrate the point.  The Egyptians knew how to project themselves as strong and powerful. It just turns out that their outward appearance matched the RELECTION they wanted the world to see. (Yes, its not about the clothes!)

So, when the world is spinning out of control…RESET.  Become aware your mind is running away with its reasons and stories.

When you get to the point where you are a conscious observer of your mind, then REFOCUS on what is so. Not the made up, but what is so…get to the root of what cause the spinning out of control.  When you get to that:

REFLECT.  Start projecting EXACTLY what you want the world to see, not from a “have to do this in order to blah blah blah,” but CREATE THE REFLECTION ON THE FLY. See it as new and something that has never been created before.

So I’m sitting at the Arlington Psychic Fair with Joy or Messages of Joy and I start thumbing through a book that was for sale.  I came across 1 page that I couldn’t read. It was like it was written in a different language, or at least written upside down.  I honestly could NOT read the text.  This definitely got my attention.  I asked Joy to read the page for me because there was something I was obviously suppose to notice.

Well, long story short, Archangel Michael had a message for me about relationships.  Interesting how bull-headed you can be and thinking you’re heading down the “right path” but more so not seeing the big picture. Michael, thank you for being so blunt!

As I was driving into work today, I had an awakening experience.  No, I didn’t run a red light and get into an accident.  I did however have a moment that I awakened to the fact that I drive to work on autopilot.  I let me mind wander about all the stuff that I have to do, what could be the possible outcome of certain interactions, blah blah blah.

I came to a stop at a red light and was the first person at the intersection.  From my left hand side a bird flew past the driver side window and out into the intersection.  I caught myself yelling, “HEY! THAT’S A RED LIGHT!” After I realized that the bird was in no danger of getting into an accident because he ran the light and obviously ignored all traffic regulations, I started laughing hysterically. How’s that for being awake?

I was reminded that we as humans walk around asleep for a great part of our Existence.  If I am not willing to wake up during my morning drive into work, how willing am I to wake up to other things.  How about seeing the absolute Divine in another person? How about waking up to see that where I am is absolutely perfect, no matter what the circumstances and people are saying about it? How about this one… that I’m beautiful… and yes occasionally a fashion dilema… but still beautiful. (Thank you Aleah.)

So I encourage each of you to pick out a stop light today. And for a brief second…awaken something in yourself.  I’m sure you will find it interesting.

I am so excited to be co-channeling with Daniel Bates on a regular basis.  Recently we did a combined channeling session with my Guide Glalen of the Stream and Daniel’s guide, the Harmonic ARORA.  From the feedback we got, it was truly amazing and the information was appropriate for everyone that attended.  I hope to see you there for these exciting nights!

I heard a story once about the Disney Imagineers and how they develop the new concepts for the rides and attractions at the Disney theme parks.  As an Imagineer, they KNOW that the first design will never be the final outcome of their vision.  When its brought to the table, the rest of the Imagineers pick it apart and ask themselves, “How can we take this design and ‘Up It’ and take it to the next level?”  Thats what happened this last weekend at the Messages of Joy Psychic Fair.

I was taken outside of my comfort zone when I had individuals that wanted to connect with a loved one that passed.  Instantly I went into my, “I don’t know how to do this.”  And instantly my guidance came up and said, “Its time to experience and learn.” And to say the experience was less than extraordinary would be and understatement.  I instantly felt the loved ones that wanted to come through, and knew exactly what needed to be said.  From the feeling of bringing another spirit through to the “pulling back” of the energy…I knew what was happening at every step.

So, I am asking myself, how can I “Up It” so I can touch people’s lives and help them to connect with Spirit on a deeper and more intimate way? I will continue sharing my thoughts and experiences and would love to hear your experiences and lessons as well.  I am blessed that I have the opportunity to speak into your lives, and I am TOTALLY blessed for everyone that I come in contact with.

I’ve really been having a great experience attending and participating at the Psychic Fairs at Messages of Joy. I am so blessed to have been asked to participate. As I am still getting used to giving personal readings, I am being confronted with those areas in my life that stop me. For example, I’ve had people that have come to sit in front of me that are as open as could be and my readings for them have been brilliant. Then, there are some that sit before me and I can only get a faint glimpse as to what is going on with them. I have a reservation of “pushing passed” the resistance. But Aleah tells me this:

Hiding information you are getting doesn’t do jack shit for people. They will wake up when they are confronted with what is so in their lives. DO NOT COWER when you think you are making people uncomfortable, be BOLD and be their kick in the ass that they need to excel their Spirit.

I am one to talk…I do cower when I am in people’s presence cause I do see their greatness and that challenges my own. So, I don’t know everything, but I thank each and every one of you that has come to see me and ask for my guidance. I am truly blessed.
