HEY! Thats a Red Light!
As I was driving into work today, I had an awakening experience. No, I didn’t run a red light and get into an accident. I did however have a moment that I awakened to the fact that I drive to work on autopilot. I let me mind wander about all the stuff that I have to do, what could be the possible outcome of certain interactions, blah blah blah.
I came to a stop at a red light and was the first person at the intersection. From my left hand side a bird flew past the driver side window and out into the intersection. I caught myself yelling, “HEY! THAT’S A RED LIGHT!” After I realized that the bird was in no danger of getting into an accident because he ran the light and obviously ignored all traffic regulations, I started laughing hysterically. How’s that for being awake?
I was reminded that we as humans walk around asleep for a great part of our Existence. If I am not willing to wake up during my morning drive into work, how willing am I to wake up to other things. How about seeing the absolute Divine in another person? How about waking up to see that where I am is absolutely perfect, no matter what the circumstances and people are saying about it? How about this one… that I’m beautiful… and yes occasionally a fashion dilema… but still beautiful. (Thank you Aleah.)
So I encourage each of you to pick out a stop light today. And for a brief second…awaken something in yourself. I’m sure you will find it interesting.
Love and Light
~Matthew

I still disagree with the fashion dilemma. Aleah just needs to update her fashion sense.
But I did have the incredible honor of stopping at a red light earlier this morning and noticing the most beautiful rainbow in the distance. I think I might have missed it if I hadn’t have been feeling and thinking ALIVE at the moment. It made me think of you for some reason… and then I flashed to a different mentality: Integration occurring at all levels!
Yay!
